Cruise for a Cause II

The weather finally relented, the lake was calm and the clouds started to clear as our guests began arriving on the pier at Credit Village Marina (Snug Harbour). Once again, Julia's Ristorante and Fishbone's Oyster Bar and Grille were on hand with a delicious array of hors d'oeuvres and oysters - served on the pier to the 200 folks who came along to enjoy dinner and a four-hour cruise on Lake Ontario.

On board, it was music all night long - well, almost - courtesy of DJ Ian Clarke and the Patti Jannetta Band. A few short breaks allowed us to announce the winners of the many door and raffle prizes that were donated by over 40 local businesses. The silent auction offered a wide array of items to suit all tastes with pride of place going to a wine connoisseurs delight - a gourmet dinner for four generously donated by Ristorante Aielli.

After dinner under clear skies and a bright moon our guests were able to sample some delicious pastries provided by La Villa Fine Foods and help themselves to an endless supply of coffee provided, as always, by Tim Horton's.

This time around we were fortunate in having Rachelle Rousseau as our cruise photographer. If a picture is worth a thousand words then Rachelle wrote a novel with over 250 pictures of the event.
