Stephen's Other Boat

Unable to wait for the CharterAbility vessel, Stephen and a friend of his, Paul Cummings, got themselves a pontoon boat so they could give people with disabilities a flavour of what's to come and make people aware of what we are trying to accomplish.

The boat is also intended to be used for promotional purposes and to that end will sport the logos of some of CharterAbility's partners, sponsors and supporters.

During the summer it was frequently seen cruising Lake Ontario and 16 Mile Creek in Oakville. With the help 35+ volunteers, over a dozen people from within the community with various dissabilities experienced a day on the water - for most of whom, it was the fist time in their life!

Also, you will see on other pages that the boat has appeared at two events - the Toronto In-Water Boat Show at Ontario Place and the Toronto International Boat Show at the CNE National Trade Centre.

Here are some pictures of the pontoon boat in its "pristine" state. We'll keep you posted on developments with "NASCARing" it.
